Magdaline Njoki, a business woman in Kamwangi has challenged Kiambu county government to engage more women in leadership positions.

Njoki who is also the chairperson of the business fraternity in Kamwangi noted that most of the executive positions in Kiambu county government are being held by men.

"Even with eduction and qualification for certain positions, the one third gender rule has not been implemented in Kiambu government. Am urging the county leadership to look into the matter," she said.

The elate business woman who owns several apartments in the area challenged women leaders to unite and fight for their rights and interests adding that their problems and interests will be heard when they speak out.

She this will provide them with an opportunity to get exposure on matters of leadership and governance.
