Youth have been challenged to attend educative forums to help transform their lives.
Kisumu County Voice Spokesperson Audi Ogada speaking at the kisumu national polytechnic on Wednesday at an educational forum organized by Wayan organization that promotes youth affairs challenged youths to embrace educative forums.
To him youth were facing various challenges and needed lots of such forums to debate on to have proper way forward and how to come up with solutions for them stating that most the solutions could not come from experts.
“We encourage such forums to be in place, the youth are highly encouraged to attend and participate on matters brought on board as they highly affect them and the answers lied upon them calling upon locals to help guide youth on the importance of such gatherings,” noted Audi.
He further confirmed that it was important for the non-governmental organisations to train youth in such forums and in turn give them activities to empower fellow youths who lacked such experience to him much still needed to be in place asking the county government and other in influential positions to see youths were fully transformed through advocacy, capacity building and empowerment.
Kisumu county rural youths and gender sociologist Florence Atera also commented that such forums were important and should be embraced.
