Aspiring Borabu constituency MP Dr. Nyandoro Kambi has yet again questioned the commitment of the Nyamira county youth department alleging that it’s doing little to elevate the lives of the young population.

Mr. Kambi who on Saturday won the philanthropist of the year award in Gusii All Stars United Awards was officiating the finals of Getena Cup in his Borabu backyard on Monday.

“My stand about the youth docket is always the same because they haven’t changed. As leader, I have never seen anything concrete coming from that docket. Our youths are languishing in poverty yet there is a department that should be looking into their welfare,” he said.

He urged the ministry of youths to come up with concrete programs that will prove beneficial to the youths.

“I am impressed that a number of youths have ventured in the entrepreneurial world. We want to see the youth department coming up with a concrete program that will aid the young generation because it’s funded by millions of taxpayers. That however doesn’t mean that well-wishers should stop supporting youths because they need all the assistance they can get,” he said.
