Kisii youth leaders have asked Kisii Governor James Ongwae and his Nyamira counterpart John Nyagarama to work together for the economic development of the two counties.
Speaking in Kisii town on Friday, Douglas Ogari who led the youth urged the Kisii and Nyamira county governments to continue working together to foster regional development.
He hailed the Kisii government for ensuring it is fulfilling its development agenda it pledged the residents.
"We thank the Kisii government for its efforts to fulfilling its pledges it made to the electorate," he said.
"Thank you Governor James Ongwae for your persistent push to the national government to ensure we receive the national cake."
A representative in the National Youth council, John Otao said: "We should learn to separate development from politics. ODM politics should be separated from development and we must demand for our national cake regardless of electing a governor on an ODM ticket."
He added: "Kisii and Nyamira counties led by James Ongwae and John Nyagarama have done there best to ensure the two counties have a cordial relationship and ensure we demand our national cake as Gusii. I salute Joash Maangi for linking Kisii county government and Nyamira county government to the national government and we know that the visit will bear fruits to our region."
