The Nakuru county government youth advisor Kimani wa Kimani has appealed to the residents in the area to register as voters.

Kimani said that the only way to ensure that the issues regarding the youth were looked into was only through voting the right regimes.

Speaking to the press in Nakuru town on Monday morning, Kimani pointed out that majority of the youths were yet to turn up for the registration exercise.

“We all have issues that we want to be addressed by the nation and county government. Voting gives us the right to choose and decide what kind of leadership we would want for the next five years. The whole process starts with the registration exercise,” he added.

Kimani pointed out that he will carry civic campaigns in the county to encourage the youths to show up.

“I intend to visit Salgaa, Maella, Mai Mahiu, Naivasha, Gilgil, Nakuru East and West and Elemtaita. I have already talked to some of the youth groups in the area and they are willing to come and help in talking to the other youths about the importance of the registration exercise,” he added.

He also called on politicians to help in the recruitment exercise.
