Veteran and elderly politicians in Nakuru have been asked to stay away from the Jubilee Party affairs and let youthful politicians run it.
Nakuru Youth Bunge resident Philip Ngok said youth are tired with the old style of politics and leadership in the country noting that the youth will fight for leadership positions in the new party.
Speaking Tuesday at Nyayo gardens when he led youth leaders in sensitising young people to apply for national identity cards and register as voters, Ngok said Jubilee party can only flourish and unite Kenyans if its leaders are youthful.
“You cannot tell us that people who have not been liberated from tribalism will lead a party that wants to fight tribalism in the country,” he said.
“The old guard is strategising on how they will take positions in Jubilee so that they can continue propagating hatred, tribalism and selfish agenda,” he added.
Ngok said Nakuru youth have been liberated from tribalism and they are the best people to lead the party in the county.
“If Uhuru (President ) wants this party to unite Kenyans, then he should not allow yester politicians to be in charge of the party because they will ruin it,” he concluded.
