Residents of Kikuyu Sub-County have embraced the agency banking method as it saves time.
An agent in Kikuyu Town, Ms Faith Muthoni said that residents in the area had embraced the method has it was easier and saved time.
She revealed that in a day she can attend to over 100 people, adding that many residents had no idea about agency banking but due to the regular advertising, residents soon started embracing the method.
Martin Wachira, an agent, said that it took time for residents to embrace the method because most of them did not understand it.
"The residents have finally embraced this method of banking very well though it was difficult at first as some did not know what agency banking was," said Wachira.
Eunice Kinuthia, a resident, said agency banking has come to the aid of many as it is a quicker and easier way of banking.
She said the agents have greatly influenced residents into embracing this type of banking due to their endless efforts to educate the public and ensure people understand it.
Charles Kiama, a matatu driver in the area said that the method has really helped him especially because he would spend a lot of time in the bank which was affecting his business.
He said that due to agency banking, he can now quickly and easily do his transactions without greatly affecting his business.
