Juice made from bhang has been recovered at Njunu Village, Kanunga Location in Kiambu County.
Kanunga Location Chief, Jane Wambui, confirmed that a man had been arrested with ten litres of the juice made from the narcotic herb.
“The man will be interrogated to enable the police know the intended clients and the source of the illegal drug,” added Wambui.
The chief said they got the information from members of the public and together with administration police raided the suspect's home. They allegedly recovered 18 bhang plants, one kilogramme of bhang seeds and 150 grammes of raw bhang.
This comes a week after another man was found in possession of 55 rolls of bhang in the same location.
“I will lead an operation to raid farms in the forests and bushy areas on private farms where people could be secretary growing the crop,” she said.
The suspect will be arraigned in court tomorrow.
