Kisii County youths have been urged to campaign against drug abuse in the region and teach others the side effects of using alcohol.
Addressing youths on Monday at Kisii cultural centre during the launching of International Week for Youths, Kisii deputy governor Joash Maangi said that this is the time youths should to come together and campaign against harmful things in the society.
Maangi told them to use the international week to campaign against alcoholism, FGM and other harmful practices in the county.
The deputy county boss said youths have power to change the society when they will come together and have one voice in addressing their issues.
“Youths, it is your time to realise what you are supposed to do in order to make other youths to have change in their lives more special those who have engaged themselves in use of alcohol,” Maangi said.
International week that was started last week at Kisii County and launched on Monday by the deputy governor. The theme of the event is: “Inform and do action youths”.
