Uasin Gishu government will partner with other counties to secure market for its maize farmers.

Speaking in Eldoret, County Executive in charge of Agriculture Cyril Cheruiyot said the county plans to meet with other counties to plan for the same.

"We want to get market for our maize farmers, so we will meet with counties that do not produce enough maize such as Baringo and other counties," said Cheruiyot.

The CeC said the county is set to harvest and therefore the market should also be identified early.

"Our farmers have been complaining of poor markets for their produce but we want to assure them that the ready market will be identified soon," said Cheruiyot.

He also said that if the partnership will succeed, it will benefit both counties.
