Alloys Ouru who lost his life on Saturday had hearing and speaking impairment. He died when he was removing some tree branches that were near power lines.
Addressing journalist on Sunday, Nancy Bitengo wife to the deceased, said her husband was the breadwinner of the family and requested the company to compensate her.
Area residents support her claim for compensation while lamenting over alleged negligence by the company.
“If the company wants to show transparency let them compensate the family because she has no where to get resources from,” said victor Ombae area resident.
Residents say that two other people have in the past been electrocuted while apportioning blame for their deaths on the company.
Residents want company to find a solution to reducing the incidents. They want tree branches near power lines removed to prevent any more incidents.
