Uasin Gishu County Governor Jackson Mandago has urged the area residents to apply the agricultural techniques they have learnt at the University of Eldoret Agribusiness Trade Fair to boost their income.

Speaking on Thursday at the trade fair, Mandago said that farmers should apply the principle of increasing productivity by increasing milk production and reducing post harvest losses.

"The county government will collaborate with the University of Eldoret to train youths to acquire skills demanded in the job market and for self employment purposes. This will help the youth to earn a living through income from the jobs," he said 

He reiterated that through training and empowerment of youths, unemployment levels will reduce in the country.

He urged the youth to apply for Uwezo Fund to set up business to generate income.
