A youth was on Wednesday arraigned before a Nakuru court charged with defilement.
Collins Kavanze Kadaha was accused of defiling a 15-year-old girl at Flamingo Estate in Nakuru town on October 17.
The accused faced another count of offensively touching the minor on the same date.
Appearing before principal magistrate Liz Gicheha, the accused however denied both charges and was released on a bond of Sh200,000 with a surety of similar amount. The case will be heard on January 22, 2016.
In the same court, a man was accused of assaulting a woman and inflicting injuries on her.
Hillary Kipngenoh Rono is said to have hit Betty Koech on the head injuring her in the process on November 26 in Mauche, Njoro district.
He, however, denied the offense saying that he had not met the complainant.
"I don't know who my accuser is, neither have I met her," he said.
He claimed that his arrest was engineered by a police officer he had earlier disagreed with over allegedly extorting bribes from locals.
He was released on a bond of Sh10,000 or a cash bail of Sh5,000, pending the hearing of the case on January 21, 2016.
