Ruiru MP, Esther Gathogo has hailed Ruiru female artist Loise Kim for winning the Groove Award Female Artist of the year. She urge more women to follow the artist example and pursue their dreams.

Speaking at Ruiru stadium on Sunday where she hosted Kiambu leaders, Gathogo said that Ruiru women should come out and showcase their talents which have been long dominated by men citing Loise Kim for the exemplary performance at the groove award promising to support local talents within the constituency.

She said that she is optimistic in fulfilling her manifesto set during the campaign and she included women in majority of her development thus urging them to get involved in the community development.

The Ruiru law maker said that in partnership with the county government of Kiambu, plans are underway in developing measures to sensitize women in indulging in the activity of the county.

She said that earlier during the day, she had joined Kiambu County governor, William Kabogo at Christ the King Catholic Church Kimbo Parish and they discussed issues and plight of Kiambu women in the society and resorted to better their lives.

Gathogo who was accompanied by Kiambu County Senator, Kimani Wamatangi and other Kiambu leaders urged the Kiambu dignitaries to embrace unity among them for the better Kiambu.

She also urged women to vie for elective posts come 2017 to empower women who are the key people in the society when leadership and development is concerned.

The legislator hailed the Kiambu county government for youth support and road networks in the county urging members of the public to give credit where it deserves.

“Let’s give credit where it deserves, county government has really supported youths in Kiambu and the road networks has improved,” said Gathogo.
