Ndeiya Ward MCA Nelson Munga has called for quick delivery of dialysis, diabetes and cancer equipment which President Uhuru Kenyatta promised will be given to 94 county hospitals.
Munga said the delivery of the equipment will be a relief to many who are suffering from the three illnesses saying that it will also save Kenyans the high cost of seeking treatment abroad.
Munga who was speaking in Makutano, Ndeiya on Sunday, said that county governments still refusing to integrate the hi-tech machines in their health care systems do not have the interests of their people at heart.
"We really need those machines in our county hospitals so that some of these diseases killing our people can be detected and treated early. The calls for fund raisers to fund treatment will also go down significantly,” said Munga.
