A man died on the spot on Wednesday in Makongeni town while he was demolishing a two storey building together with his fellow workers.
The 24 year old man, David Muchiri who comes from Kimuchu area died instantly when he fell from the top of the two storey building. Confirming the incident, Makongeni OCS Samuel Khisa said that they received reports that 1 person had fallen and died at around noon.
“The police were informed by the members of the public that a man had died on the spot and when they inquired from his fellow workers, they confirmed that Muchiri had fallen accidentally,” Mr. Khisa said.
He has now urged the workers taking part in the demolishing to take caution.
"All life is precious and so you should be careful. Do your work cautiously so that we can avoid any more casualties,” he added.
The body of the deceased was taken to Thika level five Hospital mortuary.
