Two men died on Wednesday afternoon in Jogoo Estate, Kisii Town after allegedly getting electrocuted in their rented house
The two who were identified as Kepher Omondi, 21 and Darius Onkendi, 20 are believed to be students of unidentified college in Kisii town.
Irene Mogoi, a neighbour heard Omondi shouting and she rushed to call his roommate, Onkendi who had just left the room.
Mogoi said when Onkendi got to the room he rushed to the scene and immediately he touched the body of his friend and he too was electrocuted.
“We have known the two young men for few months and we just know they are students in Kisii town though we cant tell which ones specifically,” she said.
Area chief Dan Mogoi said the incident happened today at 12.00pm and speculates the cause to be due to an illegal power connection.
"I suspect the room might have been connected to an illegal power supply," he said.
He said the police have already been called to collect the two bodies.
