Nyamache business operators have decried 'unfair' licensing charges and delayed issuance of the licences by the county government despite having paid for them.

Mr Douglas Achuka, an Mpesa operator at the blossoming market said the county revenue collection formula should be refined to have considerations for nature of business and culpable profits to determine licensing charges. 

"Most of the businesses operators have been receipted for having paid for licensing but have not been issued with licenses," he revealed. 

On the other hand hotel owners have called for supply and connectivity of clean water as they have also hard time fetching spring water for their operations. 

Bernard Morang'a, a businessman who runs a hotels revealed that they ferry water from a spring in jerrycans since the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) water point ran out of water three months ago. 

Registering their fears during the rains offset, the drainage and trenches risk blockages as those bestowed with rubbish collection task have reluctantly executed their duties.  

Mr Morang'a called on the residents to conserve the environment for the good of the county.
