Teachers from Sunrise Junior Academy, Giasaiga sub-location in Sameta sub-county have been warned against having carnal knowledge with their female pupils. Instead, they were advised to treat them as their daughters who need moral guidance to succeed in their education and life careers.
The School Management Committee Chairman, James Onyoni Onyoni has warned parents in the school against engaging in illegal sexual relationships with their female pupils as it will ruin education and future life careers of the affected girls.
Speaking to parents and teachers at the school, Onyoni reminded teachers of the legal implication if they were found abusing their female pupils sexually.
"I am reminding teachers in this school that, the fact the school is a private institution does not guarantee them any right to sexually abuse their female learners and get away with it," stated Onyoni.
Onyoni warned parents in the school against entering into secret agreements to cover teachers who will be found sexually abusing their female pupils, instead they should follow the law in having the said teachers investigated and if found guilty the law should take its course.
"I am warning parents from this school against settlement of sexual abuse cases involving teachers and their female learners without following the legal framework to ensure justice is done to the affected learners," stated Onyoni.
