 Three people were on Tuesday arraigned before Eldoret court and charged with selling illicit liquor.

Agnes Too, Peter Yego, and Julius Mukei were arraigned in court after they were arrested in possession of kangara.

Agnes Too was arrested with 20 liters of kangara while Peter and Julius were arrested with 40 litres of the illicit liquor.

The accused were arrested by the county askaris and administration police at Kesses area in Uasin Gishu County during an illicit brew crackdown.

The court was told that the accused were aware of the crackdown but continued to do illegal business.

The accused pleaded guilty before senior principal magistrate S.Mokua and pleaded to be forgiven arguing that they were the only soul breadwinners in their respective families.

Agnes Too was charged Sh20, 000, Peter Yego and Julius Mukei were pay Sh40,000 or serve six months imprisonment.
