The National Alliance (TNA) party Kiambu Coordinator Gladys Chania has said that her party handled the nomination of candidates in various seats in the last general election in a fair and transparent manner.

Chania, who was speaking in Githunguri on Monday during a meeting with leaders of People Living With Disabilities (PLWDs), said that her party was also inclusive when it came to gender and PLWDs.

"TNA was very fair in giving out tickets and we never favoured anybody. Only the candidates who won fairly during the nominations were given tickets,” she said.

She urged the PLWDs interested in leadership to apply for Jubilee Alliance Party tickets when election time comes and they will be awarded tickets on merit and without discrimination.

"When we were giving out tickets in 2013, I knew nobody as I had just returned to the country. In 2017 I promise everybody including those with disabilities that we will still be fair,” she said.

She also noted that her party observed the one third gender rule in nominating candidates to Parliament and the county assemblies.
