Two men were arraigned before a Kisii court on Friday facing separate charges of theft and burglary.

In the first case, Victor Mose was charged jointly with others not before the court with stealing a motorcycle, registration number KMBD 196M.

The court heard that the motorcycle is worth Sh96, 000 and belongs to Lucas Matagaro.

Mose allegedly committed the unlawful offense on July 30, 2015 at Daraja Mbili area in Kisii County.

He appeared before Chief Magistrate Yvone Andiva but denied the charges.

He was released on a bond of Sh50,000.

In an unrelated case in the same court, another man was  charged with breaking into a house and stealing property.

George Mogaka was accused of breaking into the house of Venetia Moraa and making away with a Sony TV set worth Sh42,000, on the night of August 15, 2015 at Jogoo Estate in Kisii town.

Mogaka denied the accusations and was released on a Sh50,000 bond.

Both cases will be mentioned on September 25 while hearing was set for October 9.
