Chitago ward representative, Albert Moinde has asked Kisii county government to take action against corrupt officials whose actions are having a negative impact on the county performance.
Addressing residents in Chitago, Moinde said there are many officials who are exploiting the public by asking for money in exchange of jobs and tenders a move that will see the county underperform in the future.
He added he will move a motion to the assembly after the break that will see corrupt officials face the law a move that will; reduce the corruption cases in the county.
“The public should not give money in exchange of favors instead they should make sure that the county officials work for them because they pay tax, if we all do that there will be no single case of corruption,” said Moinde
Moinde urged the youth not to use short cuts to gain from the county government instead make sure they have the required documents to get either jobs or earn tenders from the county government freely.
He called upon any person who has been ever requested to pay money for any favor to report the case to any police station and an immediate action will be taken against them.
