Parents have been told to be confident that their children will excel in this year's national exams despite the ongoing teachers' strike.

Addressing parents on Wednesday at Itibo Girls Secondary School in Nyamira County during a prayer meeting, Deputy Principal Mrs Esther Ndemo told parents not to panic, assuring them that the students are well prepared for the exams.

“I would like to assure you that these students are well prepared, so there is nothing to fear,” said Ndemo.

Ndemo exuded confidence in the students, saying their performance in previous exams have been impressive.

“We agreed with the students that our target is a mean grade of 8.2 and we are confident enough that we are going to attain it,” added Ndemo.

She thanked parents for supporting the school management in preparing students for national exams.
