Uasin Gishu County Assembly Speaker Isaac Terer has accused the executive of failing to implement the bills passed by the assembly, despite them passing many bills in the last two and a half years.

Speaking in his office at the county Assembly on Tuesday, Terer said that the executive is sleeping on its job, by failing to enforce and implement bills at their disposal.

“Despite Uasin Gishu County Assembly passing over 25 bills signed into law, our efforts have been derailed by the executive since none of them has been implemented by the CeCs,” he said.

“I urge Uasin Gishu County governor to sack all none performing CeCs since they are derailing his development record by failing to implement the bills that could be of help to the common mwananchi for betterment of lives,” he added.

He reiterated that the governor should commit himself to perform an oversight role on the different ministries to ensure that the bills he signs into laws are implemented to the latter.
