Uasin Gishu County deputy governor Daniel Chemno has put corrupt officers on notice saying they will not be tolerated.

Chemno at the same time said the county government has digitised services in a bid to stem corruption and ease service delivery.

"Services such as job and procurement application and payment of land rates, licences and services can now be done online and also eased the time taken to be served," said the governor in his office on Wednesday.

He stated that graft had derailed development in both the national and county governments by denying them revenue besides leading to poor service delivery.

Noting that the public is entitled to getting free government services, the deputy governor asked them to report any officer engaging in graft.

"I warn those county officials who receive bribes that their days are numbered. Soon we will be coming for you. I also urge Uasin Gishu county residents to be vigilant and report such officers so that we can deal with them," concluded the deputy governor.
