Kiambu leaders have unanimously agreed to hold a peaceful demonstration which will cause the closure of the Nairobi-Nakuru Road should the government fail to take action against Pastor James Ng’ang’a.

Ng’ang’a is accused of causing a road accident in Manguo area in Limuru. In the accident, a woman died and left her husband injured.

Led by Kiambu Deputy Governor Gerald Githinji and Senator Kimani Wamatangi, the leaders said the man of the cloth should face the law and be brought to justice.

Githinji said that they have given a one-week ultimatum to the Inspector General of Police to probe the matter and bring the perpetrator to book or else they will hold the demonstration to demand justice for the deceased.

Reverend Charagu wa Njeri who officiated the burial expressed his concerns with the main suspect purporting to be a servant of God.

The reverend said that the church condemns the act in “the strongest term possible”.

“Our doctrines do not allow such acts. It is sad that the main suspect claims to be a man of God. Very sad indeed,” said Charagu.

He added that it was sickening that the accused allegedly caused an accident and fled from the scene without knowing God does his wonders that led to his being identified by eyewitnesses.

They were all speaking on Tuesday during the burial ceremony of the late Mercy Njeri which was attended by Kiambu leaders at Ngarariga in Limuru, Kiambu County.
