Gospel ministers in Uasin Gishu have promised to work hand in hand with the county leadership to ensure peace prevails.

Speaking after paying a courtesy call on the deputy governor on Monday, Bishop Wilson Kirui, the chairman of the ministers in the county, said that the clergymen will hold several prayer meetings in support of the county.

Kirui said that the county will soon launch its Uuasin Gishu gospel ministers group.

“The team will be representing over 20,000 ministries in this county,” said Kirui.

He urged the county leaders to ensure equal opportunities’ in the county to end tribal conflicts.

Daniel Chemno, the deputy governor said involving church ministers in county affairs will provide solutions to many leadership challenges.

“It is through uniting with the church for help, that the leadership challenges can be overcome,” said Chemno.

Chemno said that county and church leaders should be a leading examples in peacemaking.
