Nakuru high court has ordered former Maralal OCS to report to the OCS in Nakuru for his finger prints to be taken.
Patrick Wafula was allegedly accused of killing Laikipia University-Samburu campus student, Tom Rono on October 3, 2013 in Maralal.
Wafula denied the charges before Lady Justice, Maureen Odero on July 21 and ordered to undergo a psychiatric test at the Nakuru Provincial Hospital.
State counsel Miss Rugut urged the court to make an order for the accused’s fingerprints to be taken at central police station in Nakuru.
The report was availed before court on Friday and it declared Wafula mentally sound.
Rono was among the crowd who were protesting at the police station and was shot by a stray bullet and died on the spot.
Justice Odero ordered Wafula to present himself to the investigating officer and be taken to Nakuru central police station for his fingerprints to be taken.
The case will be mentioned on September 11.
