Through a statement released on Tuesday by the County Communications Director Silas Tarus, the county government said the rumour that the governor visited Ziwa and Burnt Forest hospitals at different occasions were baseless and were meant to tarnish the names of the mentioned.

The statement however reiterated that, the governor visited Ziwa hospital following complaints of laxity by the hospital staff by the residents but underscored that no worker was harassed.

"The governor visited Ziwa hospital following complaints from the public about the laxity of the workers. Before the governor visited the facility, the county CeC for Health had visited the facility," read part of the statement.

The nurses had recently complained of being harassed by the governor while drunk, claims which were refuted by the county government.

The county government questioned why the hospitals staff waited for a whole fortnight before reporting the incident.
