Two men were on Tuesday arraigned before a Nakuru court for being found in possession of bhang.

Vincent Kipng'eno was accused of allegedly being found in possession of 28 rolls of bhang valued at Sh560 at Ngondu estate at Njoro sub-county.

Wycliff Wanjala was also accused of allegedly being found in possession of 9 rolls of bhang valued at Sh180 at Ngondu estate in Njoro sub-county.

According to the prosecution, the police had received a tip off from the members of the public that the two were drug traffickers within the village.

On September 7, the police started looking for them and they found them, conducted a search and seized the rolls of bhang.

Appearing before Chief Magistrate Wakumile Ndururu, they pleaded not guilty and were given a surety bond of Sh50,000 and an alternative cash bail of Sh20,000 each.

The case will be heard on October 15.
