Nyamira County leaders from national government have asked the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission to investigate six officers from Nyamira County who allegedly accused of misusing funds that are meant for developments.

Speaking on Sunday during a fund raising to help the construction of Riokegongi catholic church, Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire, West Mugirango MP James Gesami and Alice Chae, Women representative said that its so important for Ethics and anti-corruption commission to investigate corruption matters in Nyamira county.

According to them they tried to come up with the issue about corruption around six months ago when they sensed danger but their views was rejected, but now it is clear that their was corruption in the county where by they have urged those involved to be investigated and if found guilty to be brought to book for accountable.

“We tried to raise alarm when we sensed danger in our county but we where shut but now the truth has come out, we need the matter to be investigated and an audit to be done” James Gesami, West Mugirango MP said.

They said that this is the time to leaders from both national and county need to come together in one spirit to fight corruption and boost developments in the county.
