Eldoret youth have been advised to be peace ambassadors and help transform the county in development.
Speaking his office on Friday, Uasin Gishu County Youth Director Kebenei Misoi asked youth to take the responsibility and unite communities.
He asked the youth to use their knowledge and skills to bring their communities together.
He said peace and unity in the county will open doors for development and cohesion.
“Uasin Gishu youth should be on the front line championing for peace and unity not only in this county but across Kenya,” he said.
Mr Misoi cautioned youth against being swayed by selfish individuals to take part in unlawful activities.
The youth director warned that some selfish individuals often use young people to cause violence and disrupt peace.
“As you conduct your daily activities it will be important for you to keep off people who might want to use you wrongly,” he advised.
He asked youth to partner with their leaders and spearhead development.
He cautioned youth against engaging in acts that will cause trouble.
