Embattled Pastor James Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism Ministry will remain remanded after being arraigned before Limuru Senior Resident Magistrate Timothy Ole Tanchu.

The pastor and his three co-accused appeared in court on Thursday and are awaiting the determination of their bond application on Friday, at 11am.

The Pastor however denied all the four charges laid against him by the Director of Public Prosecution Keriako Tobiko.

The pastor is charged of causing death by dangerous driving, failing to report an accident, giving false information to a public officer and conspiracy to defeat justice.

He spent the night at Gigiri police station on Wednesday after he appeared to record statement and was locked in at around 3pm.

Two police officers have been charged alongside the pastor, Inspector Christopher Nzioka and Patrick Baya and the man who appeared as the driver at the time of accident, Simon Kuria, was also charged for conspiring to defeat justice.

The two officers are charged with covering up the evidence that implicated Ng'ang'a, and neglecting their official duty. They are also facing additional charges of giving false information.

The suspects also denied the charges levelled against them.
