Equity bank has promised to support farmers to acquire green houses to help them improve their farming.

Speaking on Wednesday during the Kisii County annual agriculture field day at Farmers Training Centre, Kisii Equity bank branch manager Mr Michael Chege assured farmers that the bank has set aside resources to help farmers to continue with their farming.

Chege said that they have partnered with Kisii County through the Ministry of Agriculture to boost farmers in new technology farming.

Farmers who are willing to acquire greenhouses have been asked to visit the bank so that they can receive help on how to secure the money.

“Farmers are urged to come to our bank so that they can be told how to start up the project with us,” said Chege.

Farmers have been asked to use new technology in farming so that they can have better harvests.

Using greenhouses can help farmers to overcome challenges they face especially when it rains hailstones that destroys their crops in the farm.

Kisii CeC in charge of Agriculture, fisheries and livestock Mr Vincent Sagwe also said that the bank and the ministry are going to ensure that farmers are well equipped to make agriculture sector shine.
