Residents of Gesima, Kitutu Masaba constituency have cautioned area MP for his continued criticism to the Jubilee government, without concentrating on development at the local areas.
Speaking on Tuesday at a fundraiser in the region, they accused Timothy Bosire for his unwillingness to support the incumbent government for the sake of development in the region.
According to them, the ODM legislator has been throwing scathing attacks to the national government, that has even attracted of attention of DP William Ruto who recently faulted him during his visit to neighboring Borabu for being ‘too critical’.
“Time for politics is gone and this is the time to concentrate on development. We all know that we cannot realize, meaningful development if we don’t work with the national government and he knows that. Our region will continue lagging behind if the MP continues with his habit,” said Joseph Ombati.
They accused the legislator of failing to pursue the slow project of constructing Metamaywa-Mosobeti and, Kemera-Magombo roads which are said to be slowing down due to delayed releasing of funds from National treasury.
“We all know two major roads whose construction has slowed down because the national treasury has always delayed. The MP has an obligation to pursue that matter instead of persistently criticizing the government,” added Zachary Ongeri.
However, Justus Omiti, the spokesperson of the MP vindicated the legislator by asking the government to work for all Kenyans without discrimination.
“The MP is doing his job of being a watchdog and we should not kill him for that. The government should not use that as an excuse to discriminate locals,” he said.
