After experiencing a spell of dry taps for the better part of the week, Kaloleni and other affected areas have been reassured of an amicable solution to the biting problem.

Speaking on Thursday after holding a crisis meeting with the Nakuru Water and Sewerage Services Company managing director, Nakuru Town East MP David Gikaria expressed confidence that the situation will be averted in due time.

"I have talked with the company's management and have confirmed that there was a billing problem but things are under control. Water will be in your taps in due time," he said.

Nawassco has been on the spot in the recent few days after it abruptly stopping supplying water to majority of city and neighbouring estates without proper communication.

By close of business on Friday, Kaloleni residents had promised to stage peaceful demonstrations over the matter.
