Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua and his deputy Joseph Ruto on Thursday commissioned Marie Stopes Kenya clinic in the county.

Mbugua welcomed the expansion of Marie Stopes clinic terming it a major contribution to poverty eradication through provision of health services.

"This is a timely initiative to the development of delivery of health services in our county," he said.

Other guests who graced the occasion included the Marie Stopes chief executive Simon Cooke and County Director Faustina Fynn Nyama.

The clinic is on the third Floor of Masters Plaza.

Marie Stopes was established Kenya in 1985 is well known for offering services on reproductive health and family planning.
