Nakuru County Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has encouraged residents of Visoi ward to take advantage of the Ngiwa Shalom water project by starting small businesses which will provide them their daily needs.

The governor was speaking on Wednesday evening when he commissioned the Ngiwa Shalom Water project in the ward.

‘This is is great project for the community around and therefore I urge you to take advantage of the water by starting small farming and businesses which include commercial vegetable farming and rearing of chicken to provide your basic needs.

The Sh5 million Ngiwa Shalom water project is funded by the county government and is intended to serve a population of over 2,000 people in the region.

Mbugua also hailed the importance of power line extension in the borehole in supplying electricity.

"The power in the borehole will also help connect various homes around with electricity and this will come at a cheaper rate," he added.
