Nyaribari Chache Member of Parliament Richard Tong'i has appealed to the youths who have not enrolled in universities or middle level colleges to join polytechnics.

"Our village polytechnics are important to our youth because not all can go to universities or middle level colleges for higher learning," the MP said.

"Therefore, I call upon school leavers to consider joining these polytechnics in order for them to acquire knowledge that will enable them get empowered economically through using of the skills attained."

He added: "Many people underrate these polytechnics but I want to assure you that those people who have enrolled and attained knowledge from polytechnics are excelling in life."

"These people cannot be compared to those sitting at home."
