Youths from Kitutu Masaba constituency in Nyamira County have challenged area Member of Parliament Timothy Bosire to involve them in development projects.
The youths claimed that they have never been involved in any development project in the constituency, leading to their poor living standards.
Speaking to journalist on Saturday, the youths, led by Mr Japhet Mogeni and Mr Maranga Angwenyi challenged their MP to involve them in various development projects in the constituency to uplift their living standards.
They also called for job creation for the youths in the county to reduce unemployment rates.
"We are appealing to politicians to ditch their differences and engage the youth in development projects to eradicate poverty," said Angwenyi.
He added, “Majority of Kitutu Masaba youths are not employed, resulting to idleness. This should not be happening."
The youth leaders also urged their leaders to collaborate with the national government to create jobs for the area youths.
