Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST) has signed a memorandum of understanding with three partners to help needy students further their studies.

The three partners are Kisii County Bunge Sacco, Kisii County Youth Development Forum and the World Vision.

Speaking on Thursday at the university grounds Kisii campus during the signing of the MoU, director of the university Henry Nyabuto said the deal aims to help needy students continue with their tertiary education.

According to the director, 66 per cent of the youths come from poor families hence they need assistance.

He said they beneficiaries will be indentified and get the help from the parties.

He thanked the World Vision for partnering with them saying the move will boost the education sector in the county.
