Juja Area Chiefs have been cautioned against sidelining and shielding criminals or else they will face the arm of the law.

Area legislator, Francis Munyua said that the sacking of Gachororo chief should be a good lesson to the rest who are conducting such activities behind his back.

He said that he is dedicated to fighting crime and illicit brewing in the area and thus chiefs and their assistants should learn to work as mandated by the law.

He added that they are employed to serve the people and they represent him on the grassroots and cautioned anyone working against him to get ready to leave Juja for another work station or for home.

Speaking when he met the chiefs and their assistants from his area in his office on Thursday, the MP said that he will work with any willing person to improve the living standards of the people and insisted that he will not sit and watch as corrupt officials oppress the public.

“You are employed to serve and therefore you work with determination to maintain and protect your job. We want reputable leaders who can serve the people right,” Munyua said.

He called on the chiefs to report to him any hardship they are encountering to make it easier for him to monitor the progress of work in his area.
