Kiambu County Governor, William Kabogo has refuted claims by the Thika main prison wardens that the county government is planning to grab their land to expand the entrances to Thika town.
Kabogo said that the land that was grabbed by the prominent people in the older leadership will be reclaimed immediately and any construction under the land demolished.
He said that the prison wardens led by their Commissioner, Gilda Shakava are facilitated by his political rivals to ensure they block him from expanding the Thika roads and improving the business sector in the area.
Speaking to the press on behalf of the governor, Kiambu County Chief Officer, Dominic Gicheru said that the county government of Kiambu is set to decongest Thika town roads and therefore no one will stop them from constructing the roads on the public land.
