National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) chair Francis Ole Kaparo has rubbished claims that the commission only targets opposition leaders and 'helpless' civilians.
Speaking on Tuesday during an interview in a local radio station, the former speaker said the commission had roped in both the opposition and ruling coalition leaders whose remarks were perceived to be inflammatory by the commission.
"We don't favour anyone, be it opposition or government leaders, we deal with them equally because everyone is equal before the law," he said.
Mr Kaparo reiterated that as a commission, they had done a lot to pacify communities in northern Kenya, saving many lives in the process.
He called on elders to play their roles of spearheading peace within their communities.
NCIC has lately received a series of criticism from Kenyans who accuse the body of allegedly targeting only opposition leaders and 'helpless civilians'.
