Former presidential aspirant Martha Karua has asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to address challenges facing Kenyans to foster development.
Karua, who is also the Narc-Kenya chairperson, said that the country needs development and the issue of politics should be put on hold until 2017.
“Kenyans need development but not politics. The nation has been faced by several challenges and the President should concentrate on tackling challenges facing the nation instead of accusing the opposition,” said Karua.
Speaking in Nakuru Town when she held a consultative meeting with officials of her party, Karua urged Uhuru to tackle the issue of corruption to instill confidence in Kenyans.
“Corruption should be dealt with to enable this nation to move forward,” said Karua.
She said with good governance, the country can achieve more. “We want the government to enhance good governance to accelerate the pace of reforms and service provision in Kenya,” said Karua
The former Justice minister called on Kenyans not to be divided along political lines but work as one nation to promote national stability.
