Kiambu County Commissioner Alex Nkoyo has put criminals gangs causing havoc in Limuru, Ndumberi, Kiambu Town and other parts of the county on notice.
Speaking during the Mashujaa Day Celebrations at Ndumberi Grounds in Kiambu on Tuesday, the county commissioner said that criminal gangs will not be tolerated.
Nkeyo said that law enforcers have mounted 24 hour patrols across the county in search of criminal gangs.
“We are not going to allow criminal gangs to cause sleepless nights to residents in Kiambu,” he said.
The commissioner said cases involving the murder of two bodaboda operators have been reported in Limuru Town in the past week.
He said that police will work tirelessly to make sure that residents across Kiambu County are secure.
The county commissioner urged residents to embrace the Nyumba Kumi initiative and support law enforcers in the fight against crime.
Mr Nkoyo said that through Nyumba Kumi, cases of crime will drastically go down.
He also urged local leaders to work with the police and help sensitise the residents on the importance of the initiative.
