ODM Nominated Member of Parliament Isaac Mwaura has asked politicians in Kiambu County to focus on service delivery and avoid leadership wrangles that have been experienced since the leaders took over power.
Mwaura said that Kiambu is not where it is supposed to be in terms of development, a clear indication that they have been derailing the agendas of delivering services.
Speaking in Kiambu during an indoor meeting with a section of area leaders on Monday, Mwaura said that the area politicians have been making news each time as they have been fighting publicly.
“You have always been publicised negatively in the media and it’s time we shift from politics and give room to development. The public wants to see actions and not words,” said Mwaura.
He added that the leaders have a responsibility of delivering and not politicking each time they have a chance.
The MP said the public meetings have turned into political rallies and its becoming hard for people to invite politicians in their affairs.
The leaders were called upon to put aside their differences at the moment and work until they are through with their work.
“When it is time for politics, we will engage in politics but as for now, let us unite and work as a team by putting our differences aside.
