The Nairobi International Trade Fair which started on Monday has attracted many people within and out of the county.

Among those attending the show are Kibera residents.

According to some parents, it is a learning opportunity for their children.

Eluid Badali from Makina, Kibera said he took his children to the show on Tuesday and was impressed by what they learnt.

“They were very happy. They learned a lot from the trade fair. In fact, they arrived home and wrote compositions about their experience at the showground,’’ said Badali.

He urged parents to take their children to the show for a learning experience.

Richard Badali said he is thankful to his father for taking him and his siblings Monica and Leon to the show.

Richard also wants his fellow children to accompany their parents to the event now that there are no teachers in school.

“I advise my fellow children to talk to their parents so that they can go to the show. There are many people there and one cannot go alone because you can get lost,” said 12-year-old.
