Kisii and Nyamira governors have vowed to work together and partner in development projects that will be of common good to the locals.
According to Governor James Ongwae and his Nyamira counterpart John Nyagarama, the two counties have projects that can be undertaken as a joint venture to realize development in Gusiiland.
“The two counties have great potential and we want to see the residents from the area benefit from working together for now and in future,” said Ongwae.
The two were speaking in Kisii on Thursday, where they agreed to work together in order to develop the region, noting that they need to have unity of purpose for them to realize full development.
According to Nyagarama, the two counties have to explore areas of mutual benefit for maximization of their potential.
“We have come together to make sure that the two counties have a common agenda of development and we are working together towards achieving what our residents expect from us,” said Nyagarama.
Nyagarama is the Chief Guest at the Southern Kenya ASK Kisii show, which will be officially opened by Governor Ongwae on Friday at 10:30 am.
